This is the story of a five month voyage taking the Cattells through the Dutch canals, Germany, Denmark, Southern Sweden, Latvia and Estonia to their goal of Helsinki, eventually returning to the Swedish archipelago, via the Finnish Islands
The authors experienced every type of weather except snow and logged 2,487 nautical miles
Fay and Graham Cattell are both retired and have cruised extensively in European waters
They now keep their yacht 'Tam O'Shanter' in the Baltic, where they have discovered the varied charms of the area and the genuine friendship and welcome extended to visitors
